Linda Spevacek joined the firm this summer after twenty years of collaboration on various projects and activities. Prior to joining the firm, Linda managed her own commercial real estate consulting practice, Sun Consulting Group, where several assignments led to her expertise in the development and financing of biotech laboratory space. Her vast institutional experience stems from fifteen years at Aetna, where she underwrote transactions and managed commercial mortgage portfolios, and from several years in the banking field dealing with construction and REIT financing. B&C is thrilled to finally have her on board.
In other news, The Rising Star program, plans to ramp up its professional development events for the fall into the winter, following its one-month break in August. Founded in the winter of 2002, the group of new Connecticut commercial real estate professionals has met once a month to network and cross-learn aspects of trade that fall outside of their formal training. The program currently has 59 “Stars” with 33 participating companies.
B&Cs current assignments include:
- Strategic planning and negotiation strategies for the disposition of surplus acreage for The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT
- Due diligence and surveillance for XL Capital Assurance on a Brooklyn Law School dormitory
- Analysis and recommendation on Osceola County Convention Center and Hotel in Florida
